Mr. Marvin H. Goetach Sr., 68, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 at a Pensacola hospital. He was a native of Kenmare, N.D. and had been a resident of Flomaton since 1989 coming from Texas. He was retired from the U.S. Navy where he served during the Cuban crisis, Vietnam and two tours of duty in Okinawa, Japan. He also served as in the Marine Corps. He is survived by his mother, Dora Goestch of Kenmare; his wife, Nettie Ruth Reaves Geotsch of Flomaton; two sons, Marvin H. Goestch Jr. of Kodiak, Alaska, and Harold M. Goestch of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Karen Chilson of Kenmare, and Arleen Armstrong of Midland, Texas; two grandchildren, Heather Nicole Goetsch and Dalton Henry Goetsch of Kodiak.
Funeral services will be held today, Sunday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with Vicar Scott Snyder officiating. Burial will follow at Flomaton Cemetery with full military honors and Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Kiley Reaves, Burton Reaves, Steve Reaves, Keith Reaves, Matt Reaves, Michael Carnley and Scott Fletcher.
