Mrs. Mary Ellen Hinson Ellis, 86, died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, at her residence in Flomaton. She was a member of the Flomaton community for 68 years, coming from Bermuda, Ala. She was a charter member of Bethel Baptist Church and a long time Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Ellis; a grandson, Ken Florie and a great grandson, Collin Perry.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann (Bobby) Florie of Flomaton, and Mary Alice (Jimmy) Harwell of Madisonville, La.; grandchildren, Cindy Paar, Mark Harwell, Keith Harwell, Licy Gagner and Larisa Perry and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Boggs and the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Burial followed at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Ricky Perry, Brooks Perry, Steve Paar, Spencer Gagnet, Trevor Gagner and Keith Harwell.
