NMS boys, girls gobble up Flomaton

Both the W.S. Neal Middle School Lady Blue Eagles and Blue Eagles basketball teams celebrated Thanksgiving a little early Tuesday, as they gobbled up visiting Flomaton.
The Lady Blue Eagles won for the fourth time in six decisions with a 31-24 victory.
W.S. Neal led all the way, as it had quarter leads of 5-1, 17-10 and 27-15. Flomaton made things interesting down the stretch, as it scored the first nine points of the fourth quarter and pulled within 27-24 before the Lady Blue Eagles were finally able to shut the door.
Freida Folmar pumped in 16 points to lead the Lady Blue Eagles, while Keyvonne Kyles added six.
Meanwhile the W.S. Neal boys evened their season slate at 3-3 with a 43-14 win.
The Blue Eagles steamrolled their way to a 23-4 halftime lead and limited Flomaton to just six points through three quarters en route to the easy win.
Michael Thomas fired in 15 points to pace W.S. Neal, while Bob Elliott added seven.
Both teams will be back in action Tuesday with a trip to Jay (Fla.). Play starts at 3 p.m.
