A man was fatally injured early Monday morning on a highway north of Brewton in a one-vehicle accident.
Lewis Earl Cain, 57, of Castleberry, was driving on Hwy. 49, approximately six miles north of Brewton, when the accident occurred at 1:25 a.m., Monday, Nov. 28, 2005.
According to Sgt. Tim Sardain with the Alabama State Troopers, Cain apparently lost control of the Dodge pickup, leaving the road and hitting a tree. Sgt. Sardain said he was not certain whether speed or alcohol were a factor in the accident. As of press time, no other details are available, and the accident is still under investigation.
