Mrs. Janie Kast Ryals, 92, of Baggett Circle, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2005, at a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native and former resident of Castleberry before moving to Brewton 33 years ago. She was a machine operator with T.R. Miller Box Factory and a member of the New Home Free Will Baptist Church.
She was survived by a son, Clavorn Theo “Buster” Ryals of Mobile; four daughters, Bonnie Godwin of Castleberry, Doris Morris and Elizabeth Ann “Beth” Madden, both of Brewton, and Dorothy Richardson of Columbus, Ga.; a brother, Theo Kast of Hartsville; 21 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 14 great, great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Powell officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery on Appleton Road with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
