Mrs. Alma Electra Tharpe Sansom, 94, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005 in Flomaton. She was a native of Caryville, Fla., and a resident of Flomaton since 1953, coming from Tallahassee, Fla. During her working years, she worked for Sherrer Brothers in Brewton. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Flomaton.
She is survived by her sons, Charles (Elizabeth) Sansom of Pensacola, Fla., and Michael T. Sansom and John (Martha) Sansom, both of Flomaton; a daughers, Sara (Fred) Owens of Flomaton; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held today, Sunday, Dec. 18, at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Flomaton with the Rev. Homer Stewart and the Rev. Jerry Keese officiating. Burial will follow at Flomaton Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral home directing. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and the honorary pallbearers will be her great grandsons and Henry McCutchin, Lloyd Barrow and E.A. Barrow.
