Mrs. Daisy Lee Joyner Johnson, 71, of Maddox Street in East Brewton, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Conecuh County, and a long time resident of East Brewton. She was a homemaker and a member of East Brewton First Assembly of God Church. She taught Sunday school for 45 years.
She is survived by her husband, J.R. Johnson of East Brewton; a son, Mike (Betty) Johnson of East Brewton; three daughters, Becky (Daniel) Holland of Brewton, Wanda (David) Johnson of Greenville, and Pam (Chris) Rowe of Mobile; four brothers, Enoch Joyner of Brewton, John (Robbie) Joyner of Grand Bay, and Howard (June) Joyner and Tot (Yvonne) Joyner of East Brewton; two sisters, Ruby Halford of McKenzie and Ann (Cliff) Roby of Pensacola, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Russ Holland, Randy and Ryan Holland, Logan Rowe, Leah Rowe, Lauren Rowe and Reid Johnson, and numerous other relatives.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 10 a.m. at East Brewton Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Jeff Scurlock officiating. Burial followed at Bethel Cemetery in the Bethel community, with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Rusty Holland, Randy Holland, Ryan Holland, Logan Rowe, Reid Johnson and William Joyner.
