There's no objection coming from Mary Godwin's mouth. Godwin, who is attending Washington and Lee School of Law in Lexington, Va., is home for the holidays.
She just finished her first semester and took her exams before coming home for Christmas with her family.
She said she will be home for about three weeks and so far she has been shopping in Pensacola, visited in Birmingham and spent some time with her family.
Godwin was born in Brewton and grew up here. She is the daughter of Mike and Harriett Godwin.
She attended school in the Brewton City School system and graduated from T.R. Miller High School in 2001. Godwin then attended Furman University and graduated from there this past June with a degree in political science.
She has had the advantage of traveling quite a bit and has even had the opportunity to attend one semester at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland.
While there, she was able to serve as an intern in the Parliament.
