Mrs. Ella Lee Brown III, 67, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2005, after a lengthy illness. She was a 1956 graduate of Southern Normal High School. She attended Spellman College and Alabama State University. She was employed at Westgate Village for 38 years before her retirement in 2004. She was preceded in death by her father, Morris Orange; her mother Ella Lee Brown II; sisters, Helen Dean and Annie Ruth Dubose and a brother, James &#8220Bill” Brown.
She is survived by three sons, Bruce (Alice) Brown, Reginald Brown and Morris Brown, all of Brewton; two daughters, Patricia (Conrad) Bias of Killen, Texas, and Donna (Clarence) Ellis of Millbrook; a brother, Darryl Brown of Lawton, Okla.; a sister, Voncile Nettles of Brewton; 11 grandchildren, Andrae (Adrienna), Danyell (Danian), Chastity, Tierra, Derwin, Mayisha, Patrice, Danekia, Kayla, Keonra and Destiny; six great grandchildren and other friends and relatives.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 29, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion AME Church with the Rev. Daniel Dozier officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
