The John Pugh family of Castleberry and the Levon Rudolph family of Belleville were blessed Monday, Jan. 5, with two sets of twins, all delivered by Dr. David Gunn with Dr. Clay Newsome assisting.
Preliminary 1980 Census of Population and Housing figures have been released, with Escambia County reflecting an increase of 3,474 persons, with all municipalities reflecting some increase.
Police Chief Glenn Holt noted this week that police are enforcing a city ordinance that outlaws the use of Belleville Avenue as a truck route.
The Kiwanis Club of Brewton is again making plans to sponsor a Kiwanis Youth Basketball League.
Terry Edwards, 13, bagged his first deer, a 200 pound buck with seven points on a hunting trip Friday on T.R. Miller lands.
