The slump got a little longer and a little more frustrating for the Jefferson Davis Community College Warhawks over the weekend, as their losing skid hit six games with a pair of road setbacks.
Perhaps the most frustrating game of the slide was Friday's 73-67 loss to Bevill State-Sumiton.
JDCC (4-9) got off to a strong note, as it built a 34-26 lead in the first half.
JDCC continued to lead most of the second half, but a late surge by Bevill State-Sumiton allowed it to pass the Warhawks in the closing moments.
The Warhawks placed four players in double figures led by Kedric Wilson's 14 points. Arthur Richardson had 13 points to go along with a team high seven rebounds. Micah McKinney also had 13 points, while Jairus Jackson had 12.
JDCC dropped a 79-62 decision at Northwest Shoals Saturday.
The Warhawks were unable to recover from a first half that saw the Patriots double them up 40-20. After the rough start, JDCC outscored Northwest Shoals 42-39 in the second half.
The Warhawks were just 13-for-32 from the free throw line (41 percent) and only five-for-22 (23 percent) on three-point shots.
Jackson led all scorers with 21 points, while Wilson also reached double figures with 12 points and a team best nine rebounds. Jeremy Cleveland matched Wilson's rebound total.
The Warhawks, who hosted Wallace State-Selma Tuesday, are home again Saturday against Southern Union at 6 p.m.
