Mrs. Maude White Burge, 79, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, in a Columbia, Miss. hospital. She was a native of the Kirkland community in Escambia County, Ala., and a former resident of Mobile and New Orleans, La. She was a cosmetologist and a member of the First Baptist Church of Henlyfield. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry E. and Ella Payne White; her husband, J.B. Burge; a sister, Wilma White Shaw and two brothers, William E. Payne and Jack Payne.
She is survived by one son, David (Sheila) Burge of Picayune, Miss., and three grandchildren, Marcus Burge, Lacey Labardie and Keith Knight; two brothers, Edward L. (Betty) White and Joe (Barbara) White; and three sisters, Dollis (Leon) Wilson, Ella Mae (Charles) Dewberry and Margie (Richard) Thompson.
Funeral services were held Nov. 2, 2005, at 10 a.m. at McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune, Miss., with the Rev. Arthur Shaw and the Rev. Bryan Williams officiating. Burial followed at Henlyfield Cemetery with McDonald Funeral Home directing
