There are still plenty of pieces of the puzzle to answer, but T.R. Miller Tigers football coach Jamie Riggs has a lot better idea on many of those answers after his squad finished up its two-week spring training workouts Friday.
Finding out who can play where was the number one priority for Riggs and his staff headed into spring training.
The T.R. Miller coach said finding depth at quarterback was probably the second highest priority.
The Tigers return seniors Nykeem Barton and Justin Gomez at running back. Senior Travis Holland should also have a significant role in the backfield next season, but missed most of the spring work with an injury.
Riggs feels he should have a solid receiving corps with senior Brice Martin, senior Terrence Walker, junior Seth Holland and senior Tanner Shehan.
Senior Andrew Chavers was moved from the line to tight end.
Finding a reliable blocking crew up front was a key item during the spring.
Defensive line may be the most unsettled area after spring work.
Chavers, senior Reo Kirkland and Denton often filled in the end slots.
Gomez returns at linebacker and Seth Holland also some time in that role. Cook slid into a linebacker's role this spring along with sophomore Brent Odom.
T.R. Miller's secondary was missing two of its main cogs with Walker still in basketball and Travis Holland injured.
