Mr. James Martn Emmons, 67, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, in a Pensacola nursing facility. He was a native of Leonia, Fla., a former resident of Flomaton and Baker, Fla., and a resident of Pensacola for the past four years. He was a commercial fisherman by trade. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lois Odom Emmons; one brother and one sister.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth Martin Emmons of Baker; three daughters, Diane Lynn Albertson of Orlando, Fla., Pamela Sue (Donald Jeffrey) Kelson and Valerie Emmons Linton, both of Pensacola; four brothers, H.T. Emmons and Freddy Emmons both of Fellsmere, Fla., Robert Emmons of St. Cloud, Fla. and Roy Emmons of Narcoossee, Fla.; two sisters, Lola Brown of Century and Sharon Emmons of Ocala, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Tiffiny and Brittiny Albertson, Frank Indelicato, Janda Emmons, Justin, Jennifer, Joshua and Cassandra Kelson and Blake Miller.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, March 1, at 1 p.m. at the Flomaton Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Harold Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Emmons Family Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
