Mr. Matthew Shannon &#8220Buck Wheat” Scott, 37, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2006, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Jay and Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his father, Malcom Rex Scott and a brother, Paul Anthony Scott.
He is survived by his mother, Reatha Scott and brothers, Nathan (Missy) Scott, Gary (Carolyn) Scott and John (Loretta) Scott, all of Jay.
Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, March 1, at 11 a.m. at Jay Funeral Home with the Rev. Earle Greene officiating and Jay Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers will be Corrie Powell, Ronald Lail, Bubby Kimmons, Dale Harveary, Larry Wayne Harrison and Gary McMillan.
