I-65 collision kills one

One person was killed and three others were sent to the hospital in a head-on collision on 1-65 near Atmore early Tuesday morning, according to Alabama State Troopers.
At approximately 12:05 a.m. on Tuesday, March 7, three people were injured and one person was fatally injured in a two-vehicle accident occurring three miles north of Poarch on I-65.
Tuwauna Lynn Hinote, 40, of Bloutsville, Ala. was traveling northbound in the southbound lane when the 1992 Ford pickup she was driving collided with a car.
Sherry Renee Lieberman, 27, the driver of the 1991 Dodge car was pronounced dead at the scene. Two children, Jessie Daniel Lieberman, 4 and Timothy Joseph, 1, passengers in the car were flown to Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, Fla.
The driver of the pickup truck was airlifted to the University of South Alabama in Mobile. The conditions of the children and Hinote were unavailable.
