An organizational meeting was to be held to discuss the first Brewton Blueberry Festival to be held in June.

Escambia County Commissioners were considering coverting county vehicles from gasoline to propane fuel consumption.
Moore's had a Hoover vacuum cleaner on sale for only $59.90.
Peggy Bracken had a recipe in her column for cheesecake that seemed as if it would be delicious.
Joseph Luttrell, son of Frank and Kitty Luttrell, was named Rotary Student of the Month.
