Ms. Christine &#8220Puddy” Mallard, 55, died March 6, 2006, after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Brewton. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Smith and a brother, Robert Mallard.
She is survived by her mother, Lois Mallard of Brewton; three children, Glenn Mallard, Carla Redfern and Clovia Mallard, all of Brewton; three grandchildren, Caneshia Redfern, Corey Redfern and Christopher Mallard; her sisters, Barbara McFarland of Maywood, Ill., and Gloria (Joseph) Simmons of Hope Mills, N.C.; her brother, Franklin (Mary) Andrews of Thomasville; a host of uncles, aunts and cousins and a dear friend, James Pittman.
Funeral services were held Friday, March 10, at 11 a.m. at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. William Brown officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
