Mrs. Leona Pugh Odom, 91, died Thursday, March 30, 2006, in a Monroeville nursing facility. She was a native of Mt. Carmel, Fla. and lived most of her life in Pollard. She was a homemaker and a member of Pollard United Methodist Church, the Lucille Vincent Ladies Circle and RSVP. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Odom; a son, Joyce Ray Odom; a daughter, Vera Wilkerson and three grandchildren.
She is survived by three sons, Levi (Charlotte) Odom of Picayune, Miss., Mac (Flo) Odom of Orlando, Fla., and Melvin &#8220Hambone” Odom of Franklin; two daughters, Shirley (Doug) Weaver of Uriah and Betty Faye (Charles) Fears of Mexia; four brothers, Bill Pugh and Aubrey Pugh, both of East Brewton, Richard Pugh and Calvin Pugh, both of Pensacola, Fla.; three sisters, Gertrude Odom, Faye Rowell and Betty Hammonds, all of Mobile; 19 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, April 2, at 2 p.m. at the Pollard United Methodist Church with the Rev. Albert Willis, the Rev. Frank Scott and the Rev. Winston Jay officiating. Burial followed at Pollard Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
