Mrs. Dottie Cain Blair, 64, of Appleton Road, died Sunday, April 9, 2006, in a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and life long resident of Escambia County. She was a member of Appleton Church of Christ and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlton Leigh Blair; a brother, Coy Lee Cain and two sisters, Lennie Mae Barnes and Shirley Sessions.
She is survived by two sons, Brian Blair and Gregory Blair, both of Brewton; a daughter, Alisha (Mitch) Hammack of Brewton; two brothers, L.V. Cain and Roy (Renee) Cain, both of Castleberry; four sisters, Pearl (Olan) Hale of Brewton, Daisy (Glen) Black of Camden, Meariean (Gene) Powell of East Brewton and Ruthie Moye of Monroeville; six grandchildren, Brianna Blair, Valerie Wasden, Jacey Blair, Leigh Ann Blair, Tanner Hornbeak and Austin Blair.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 11, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Minister Clifford Dixon officiating. Burial followed at Cooper Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
