A community wide Easter Sunrise Service was planned at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Terry Rhodes, of North Brewton Baptist Church, scheduled to bring the message.
Hainje's purchased Jernigan Furnishings and planned to operate at the business on Belleville Avenue.
Paige Phillips, 1980 Miss Alabama, was to appear at Jefferson Davis Junior College.
Escambia County School Superintendent, Harry Weaver, was honored at a reception in Atmore, as he was retiring the first of July.
