Mrs. Dorothy Watson, 74, died Saturday, April 8, 2006, at her residence in East Brewton. She was a native and life long resident of the Brewton area. She was a member of First Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church and she was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Watson and a son, J.T. Fanning.
She is survived by three sons, John Fanning of Buffalo, N.Y., Jerry Fanning of Andalusia, and Johnny McCreary of Brewton; a daughter, Dorothy Oates of Brewton; a brother, Mack McCreary of Birmingham; four sisters, Ethel Redmon and Susie Binion, both of Brewton, Bernice Ballard of Montgomery and Rose Crosby of Buffalo, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 15, at noon at First Saint Siloam Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Forrest Lett officiating. Burial followed at New Baptist Hill Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
