Mrs. Johnette Fountain &#8220Big Mama” Brown, 90, recently died. She was a native of Nichburg and a member of Belleville Baptist Church in Belleville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Brown; a daughter, Kathleen Brown; three sons, Robert Charles &#8220Nude” Brown, Claud Brown and Douglas &#8220Pee-Wee” Brown; a sister, Wyonana Brown and a brother, Earnest Fountain.
She is survived by her children, Leslie T. Fountain Sr., William (Agnes) Brown, Johnnie Brown, Synthia M. Brown and Jacqueline (Bobby) Brown; 13 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and six great, great grandchildren; special friends, Ceola Lyons, Jean Perkins, Bertha Foster and Florence Rowser, and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, May 27, at 2 p.m. at Greater Pine Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. William Brown officiating. Burial followed at Piney Grove Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
