Mr. Charles William Dailey, 68, died Friday, June 9, 2006, in a Bay Minette veteran's health care facility after a brief illness. He was a native and former resident of Conecuh County before moving to East Brewton in 1952. He was a retired welder with the ship building industry, a U.S. Army veteran and of the Holiness faith.
He is survived by his son, John Dailey of East Brewton; his daughter, Diedra (Herman) Hutchcraft of Toney; two brothers, Jay C. Dailey of Cantonment, Fla., and Douglas Dailey of New Augusta, Miss.; five sisters, Ruby Faircloth of Brewton and Clara Hutcheson, Christine Wilson, Lillian Griggers and Alma Dailey, all of East Brewton; and one grandson, Heath Hutchcraft.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 12, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Donald Watson and the Rev. William Joyner officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
