Mr. Freddie Lavon Bodiford, 52, of Appleton Road, suddenly died Sunday, June 4, 2006, at his residence. He was a native and long time resident of Brewton. He was of the Holiness faith, member of the National Guard and a self-employed contractor. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Hansford Bodiford and Gladys Miller Bodiford; a son, Shane Bodiford and a sister, Vicki Pettis.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bodiford of Dixonville, Fla.; his step-son, Richard Kertz of Dixonville; a brother, Bobby Bodiford of Castleberry; three sisters, Laura (Clyde) Smith of Milton, Fla. and Faye (Tom) Rodgers and Mary (David) Dixon, both of Brewton; three grandchildren, Hunter Bodiford, Cody Godwin and Tyson Godwin; a special mate-Charlotte Nolan and a number of cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 7, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Randall Short officiating. Burial followed at Chapman Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
