Perry Godfrey has his hands full - sometimes literally.
Godfrey will hear “Happy Father's Day” today from five little voices.
Godfrey and his wife, Jennifer, are the proud parents of four little boys and one girl. The oldest, Conlan, is 8 years old and the youngest, Aislyn, is only 21 months old. In between there are Caeden, 6, Declan, 5, and Deacon, 3.
This makes for a very busy household at their home on Lynbrook Drive. They have lived in Brewton for 18 months, coming from Mobile. Perry has a position with Bellsouth, and he said they chose to come to Brewton, mainly because of the school system.
They have two of school age and another who will be starting this fall. Jennifer has her master's degree in education, and even though they have heard great things about the school system in Brewton, she plans to home school them for a few years.
Perry downplays his role as the father of five.
The kids are well behaved and the four oldest adore their little sister, Aislyn, who is the youngest.
Jennifer said while the famil plays a lot together and, as she puts it, he gets them all excited, or agitated.
However they do it, it seems to work for them. Dad plays with them after he comes home from work and Mom is there all the time.
The couple and their family attend First Baptist Church in Brewton and plan to build a new house as soon as they can out in the country.
He said that the names of all the children come from the old Irish language.
