Mrs. Annie Elizabeth Murphy Mills, 82, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, in a local nursing facility after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Brewton and a retired beautician. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Mills.
She is survived by a son, Jim (Judy) Mills of Sebastian, Fla.; one granddaughter, Julie Mills Wilson of Dbrovnik, Croatia; two sisters, Mott Carpenter of Milton, Fla. and Rita Jackson of Dothan.
Graveside services were held Friday, June 23, at 9 a.m. at Union Cemetery with Bro. Ron Headley officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
