Mr. Carl “Joey” White, 47, died Monday, June 26, 2006, at a Pensacola hospital. He was a native and former resident of Century, Fla., and a resident of Atmore for the past year. He attended the Gospel Light Temple and was preceded in death by his father, Joe Ivey White; a brother, Randy White and a sister, Diane White.
He is survived by his wife, Jamie White of Atmore; two sons, William Joseph White and Jon Michael White, both of Lockhart; two daughters, Kristen Hiebert of Century and Jolene Hiebert of Appleton; his mother, Evelyn Inez White of Atmore; two sisters, Sandra (Donnie) Victor of Century and Yolande (Ray) Hines of Flomaton and three grandchildren, Hayley Watts, Nathan James Rolin and Christopher Michael DeFee.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 29, at 10 a.m. at the Petty Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Wallace Reid officiating. Burial followed at Byrneville Cemetery with Petty Eastside Chapel directing. Pallbearers were James Emmons, Darron Hopkins, Ronnie Beck, Chuck Skaggs, Ray McCullough, Mike Pugh, Keith Pugh and Joe Gipson. Honorary pallbearers were Bennie Pugh, Lamar Comalander, Dick Stokes, Fred Edmond Stokes and Charlie Cash.
