Barnett's Crossroads
Mrs. Era Mae Fields Searcy, 63, died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at her residence after a brief illness. She was a native and long time resident of Baldwin County before moving to Escambia County in 1946. She was a homemaker and of the Holiness faith. She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Jearl “Jerry” Searcy.
She is survived by her husband, Shelby Jearl Searcy Sr. of Barnett's Crossroads; two sons, Shelby Jearl (Shelly) Searcy Jr. and Michael Edward (Karen) Searcy, both of Barnett's Crossroads; two daughters, Linda (Reo) Pugh of Brewton and Brenda (Autrey) Odom of Barnett's Crossroads and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 5, at 11 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Wilson and the Rev. Marvin Merritt officiating. Burial followed at Canaan Cemetery at Barnett Crossroad's with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
