Lee M. Otts, local attorney and county solicitor, took over Friday as president of the Brewton Rotary Club, succeeding C.C. Huxford, Jr., who will now serve as vice-president. Kelly Strain was named secretary-treasurer of the organization.
The Ritz Theatre advertised show times for “Guys and Dolls” with Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons, Frank Sinatra and Vivian Blain. Showing at the Eagle Drive-In was “All that Heaven Allows” starring Rock Hudson and Jane Wyman.
