Lee M. Otts, local attorney and county solicitor, took over Friday as president of the Brewton Rotary Club, succeeding C.C. Huxford, Jr., who will now serve as vice-president. Kelly Strain was named secretary-treasurer of the organization.
The Ritz Theatre advertised show times for &#8220Guys and Dolls” with Marlon Brando, Jean Simmons, Frank Sinatra and Vivian Blain. Showing at the Eagle Drive-In was &#8220All that Heaven Allows” starring Rock Hudson and Jane Wyman.
Classified Ad: Reduced for Quick Sale: Especially well-built 3-bedroom home on quiet street near schools. Bedrooms paneled in cedar, cypress and pine. Extra large living room and kitchen, and separate dining room. $13,000.
The Fair Store advertised three racks of summer dresses at a reduced price. Dresses regularly priced up to $7.95 were reduced to $5.
