Mrs. Bernice Delois Lyons, 66, died Saturday, June 24, 2006. She was preceded in death by three children, Willie, Elizabeth and Samuel Lyons.
She is survived by Willie G. Lyons, her husband of 53 years; six children, Mary (Larry) Ross of Monroe, La., Joyce (John) Canty and Denise Lyons, both of Brewton, Naomi (Willie) Allen of Monroeville, Michael (Linda) Joseph of Biloxi, Miss., and Sherrye Hartfield of Detroit, Mich.; five sisters, Clara (William) Barton, Minnie Riley, Diane (Andre') Carter, Dr. Marilyn Nicholson and Loren Tobias, all of Brewton; three brothers, Jessie (Phyllis) Redmon, Kenny (Carrie) Redmon and Jeffery Redmon, all of Brewton; her mother-in-law, Ceola Lyons; 14 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 1, at 11 a.m. at Second Saint Siloam Baptist Church with the Rev. W.J. Blue officiating. Burial followed at Baptist Hill Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
