I can remember just a few years ago shopping for baby food. I loved shopping for strained peas and carrots, mushy chicken and turkey and even squished bananas and something that slightly resembled peach cobbler.
Last week when someone mentioned a plum cake to me, I was curious about the recipe. I had heard of this particular dessert previously but had forgotten just how it was made. Then I remembered the main ingredient - baby food.
This made me wonder what other things could be prepared for the dinner table that involved the use of baby food as an ingredient.
To my surprise, there are quiet a few recipes using this unusual product. I've decided on a few to share with you this week.
The first recipe is an unusual one. I haven't prepared it but I can only imagine that the pureed prunes give an added moisture to the cake.
