Not even the threat of rain could dampen the spirits of a group of men hoping to raise money to benefit someone in need.
In their third benefit tournament this summer, two teams played Saturday to help raise money for a local leukemia victim, Kaylin Pugh.
This was the second fund-raising event for Pugh, Devers said. The first tournament held was to benefit Ronald McDonald House.
Players from all backgrounds have found the time to come together as a team in order to help raise funds for worthy causes.
While the men don't have official uniforms and they may not follow the rules of the game precisely, they are a team all the same.
The teams will be planning other charity events in coming weeks, Devers said.
