Brewton native F. Alex Luttrell III has been promoted to manager of Dynetics Project Support Office.
This newly established office will coordinate all project management activities within Dynetics and assist Dynetics project managers by providing access to project status data and reports, project management standards and tools, as well as training.
Luttrell joined Dynetics in 1983, as a new graduate of Auburn University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Prior to his promotion, Luttrell served as deputy department manager for the sensor systems and technology department. He participated in and led numerous technical projects in the areas of radar and missile system analysis, while performing personnel management functions for a department of 50 engineers and scientists located in three states.

He represented the project managers' perspective, and worked with consultants and other members of the Core Implementation Team to upgrade earlier stand-alone and enterprise-class systems into an integrated enterprise resource planning system.
He has been active in Dynetics' in-house technical and leadership learning program, Dynetics University.
Luttrell coordinated, developed training materials, and served as an instructor for the Project Management for Government Technical Services Projects course. Since 1997, he has served as coordinator for the Dynetics Summer Intern Program.
Since its inception, more than 160 interns have participated in this two-month program which places college students directly into Dynetics operational departments, working side-by-side with a mentor and other team members on projects supporting our government technical services and commercial customers.
Luttrell is a member of the Project Management Institute, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and Association of the U.S. Army.
He is a graduate of the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce Leadership program and is a member of the Rotary Club of Madison.
He is also active in the local arts, genealogical, and historical organizations, and serves as chairman of the Historical Marker Committee for Madison County.
He and his wife, Shelaine, are members of the Huntsville First United Methodist Church. They reside in Madison with their two sons, Ford and Andrew.
Luttrell is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Luttrell Jr. of Brewton.
