Classes start Thursday

T.R. Miller freshmen can expect more career development exposure this year, while W.S. Neal Middle School students will have expanded opportunities in technology.
Those are just a few of the changes coming for students in area schools this year. School starts for Brewton and county schools on Thursday.
Neal Middle School Principal Dennis Hattaway said students will have a better opportunity to learn technology.
Most students will have a chance to get familiar with their environment before classes begin.
Brewton Middle School will host an orientation for fifth-grade students and their parents at 2 p.m. today in the media center at the middle school.
Students enrolled at Brewton Elementary School should attend with their parents to meet their teachers and have a brief orientation on Thursday, during the following specified times: kindergarten, 11:30 a.m.; first grade, 1p.m.; second grade, 8 a.m.; third grade, 9 a.m., and fourth grade, 10 a.m.
T.R. Miller High School freshmen orientation will be held from 12:45 until 3 p.m. Tuesday in the school auditorium
W.S. Neal Elementary School and Middle School will have open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday.
W.S. Neal High School will have open house at 1 p.m. Wednesday with an assembly in the auditorium. All students, especially ninth-graders, are urged to attend.
