With less than three weeks before the season opener, the T.R. Miller volleyball team was hard at work this week with a special practice camp.
Although the team boasts of having 16 members, one slight disadvantage is that they make up a young team.
The majority of the team is made up of players who are freshmen or sophomores.
The only senior on the team this year is Shandreka Foster, who will be starting her fifth season in a few weeks.
After having four years of play under her belt, Foster is working hard to make her dream of a state title a reality.
The team is scheduled for 15 games this year as well as tournament play throughout the season.
In the season opener against Monroe County High School on Aug. 24, the junior varsity team will play at 4:30 p.m. with the varsity team taking to the court at 5:30 p.m.
