The Brewton branch of Liberty National was recently named among the top 10 branches in the company. The local office won the honor out of 120 branch offices.
Gerald Davidson serves as the branch manager for the local office 007.
Davidson, along with his wife Sharon, attended a special awards ceremony held in Hollywood, Fla., recently, where the couple received the special recognition.
Making the presentation were Liberty National CEO Anthony L. McWhorter and President and Chief Marketing Officer Andrew L. King.
Liberty National life Insurance Company is headquartered in Birmingham and traces its origin back to 1900 when its predecessor was founded as the Heralds of Liberty, a fraternal organization. In 1929 Liberty National was incorporated as a stock company.
Today Liberty National is a wholly owned subsidiary of Torchmark Corporation.
A New York Stock Exchange listed company, a Forbes Platinum 400 company and one of the largest publicly held life and health insurers in the nation.

Presenting the award to Davidson and his wife were Anthony L. McWhorter, CEO for the parent company, and Andrew L. King, president and chief marketing officer for the company.
The award will be displayed in the local branch office as a tribute to employees of the Brewton office.
The honor is prestigious in that only a select group of employees and offices are chosen as recipients.
