Out-of-town investors think Brewton is a &#8220pretty good place” Mayor Ted Jennings said of plans to renovate one shopping center and build another retail store.
Ed Moore, Realtor with commercial division of The Mitchell Company in Mobile, said a group of investors has purchased the 18.2-acre property and is planning to make improvements.
The property involved in the new venture includes the current Winn-Dixie building and the strip of business south of the store.
Brewton Mayor Ted Jennings said he is excited about the project.
Jennings said that with the company's promise to enhance the property and its appearance good things are certainly in store at the center.
Moore said his Mobile-based realty company would be responsible for managing the property including any cosmetic and structural work and leasing of space in the plaza.
