If the W.S. Neal Lady Blue Eagles volleyball team was not convinced the Andalusia Lady Bulldogs were well on their way to claiming the top seed at next month's Class 4A Area 2 Tournament with their straight-set win in their first encounter, it was reinforced Monday with an even more dominating performance.
Andalusia, which is 3-0 against Area 2 teams this season, surrendered just 29 points in three sets, as it cruised to an easy 25-8, 25-6, 25-15 victory at East Brewton.
Maggie Crutchfield led a limited Lady Blue Eagles attack with four points, while Katelin Hulley added two. The majority of W.S. Neal's points were defensive.
Andalusia also had little trouble in the junior varsity game where the Lady Bulldogs won 25-4, 25-6.
W.S. Neal, which hosted Monroe County Tuesday, is on the road to Flomaton Thursday. Play starts with the junior varsity match at 4:30 p.m.
