Foundation seeks grant requests

The Greater Brewton Foundation will meet November 1 to review grant requests; all awards for the year will be made at that time.
Requests can be made on behalf of any non-profit organization in the Brewton area. Previous recipients include the Brewton Public Library, Habitat for Humanity, The Red Cross, T. R. Miller H. S. Biology Dept., The Character Project, Escambia County Rescue Squad, Christian Community Benevolent Fund, YMCA (youth sports), Escambia Regional Child Advocacy Center, Brewton Elementary School Writing Project, Carlisa, Inc., T. R. Miller H. S. Library, United Fund, Greater Brewton Area Lions Club, Kiwanis Club, Goodwill Easter Seals, W. S. Neal High School Functional Programs, Brewton Middle School Garden Club, the STARS reading program and the Brewton Tree & Beautification Board.
Requests should be made in writing and mailed to P.O. Box 87, Brewton, AL 36427. Each request should include a specific proposal regarding how funds will be used and how many people will benefit; a contact's name and phone number should also be included so additional information can be obtained if needed. The deadline for proposals is October 27, 2006
