NMS still looking for first win

Victory continued to elude the W.S. Neal Middle School Blue Eagles football team Thursday when it fell 26-16 to the visiting Escambia County Eagles.
Escambia County took a 14-0 lead in the first half on a halfback option touchdown pass and an interception return for another score. W.S. Neal (0-3) cut that lead to 14-8 on a 15-yard touchdown run by Quinton Burnett. Burnett also had a two-point conversion.
Escambia County added two more scores in the second half, one on a 60-yard run. W.S. Neal got a 60-yard touchdown run and conversion from DeParish Campbell.
W.S. Neal will play its fourth straight home contest this Thursday when it entertains Carver at 6 p.m.
