Their lone win of the season may have halted a 26-game losing streak, but in just over two weeks since that victory the Jefferson Davis Community College Lady Warhawks volleyball team has found itself back in the midst of another double-digit losing streak.
JDCC's current slide hit 11 games Saturday when it dropped a 22-30, 30-21, 25-30, 30-22, 15-4 home court decision to Lawson State Saturday.
Jessica Stafford and Lindi Thompson both had three aces to lead the Lady Warhawks service game. Ashley Willoughby came up with 16 kills to pace the hitting, while Amanda Pullen and Thompson each had four. Megan Petrie had 22 of JDCC's 25 assists.
The Lady Warhawks (1-17 overall and 0-6 in the Alabama Community College Conference) dropped a pair at Gulf Coast College Friday.
JDCC fell to St. Johns River Community College 30-20, 30-20, 30-18.
Willoughby led the Lady Warhawks at the net with five kills, while Stafford and Thompson each had three.
The Lady Warhawks also dropped a 30-21, 30-23, 30-17 decision to Gulf Coast.
JDCC, which entertained Southern Union Tuesday in an ACCC game, travels to Faulkner State for a 7 p.m. league contest Thursday.
