Democrats hold the edge in fund-raising in two state legislative races for candidates who would represent Escambia County.
Incumbent state Rep. F.P. “Skippy” White reported $42,150 in contributions on his latest campaign finance report filed with the Alabama secretary of state's office. He reported spending $19,373 on such items as advertising, transportation, fundraising and food.
His opponent, Republican Alan Baker, reported raising $26,175, with expenditures of $25,962.
Before the Nov. 7 election, White has $22,776 left to spend, while Baker has $6,156, according to their campaign finance reports.
