Mr. Lottie Dell Cooper Roberts, 90, formerly of Independence, Kan., died Saturday, Sept. 30, Sept. 30, 2006, in Rome, Ga. She was a native of St. Charles, La., a former resident of Brewton, graduating in 1934 from Brewton High School. She worked for the Montgomery County clerk's office and obtained her master's degree at Emporia State University. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and an active member of several organizations. She moved to Rome, Ga. in 2002 to live with her daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Alvin Roberts; one son, Cooper Roberts and one grandson, Keith Roberts.
She is survived by her son, Henry (Kerstin) Roberts of Ottawa, Kan.; her daughter, Charlotte Roberts of Rome; a sister, Doris Riley of Georgetown, S.C.; seven grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Services will be held today, Wednesday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John P. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence.
