Mrs. Mary Idelle Ivey Johnson, 72, died Monday, Oct. 2, 2006 at her residence. She was a native of Conecuh County and resided in Frisco City. She attended Community Chapel Holiness Church and had retired from Vanity Fair. After retirement, she worked as a security guard. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy Ray Higdon and Johnny Elwood Pitts Jr.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Donna) Higdon of Covington, W.Va. and David Curtis Higdon of Frisco City; three daughters, Mary Jo (Ricky) Tolbert of Evergreen, Darlene (James) Stabler and Lisa (Bobby Ray) Ikner both of Frisco City; four sisters, Daisy Merritt, Jeanette Wright and Renea Earl Johnson, all of Brewton and Faith Allegretto of Ocean City, N.J.; two half brothers, Cecil Ivey and Jimmy Ray Ivey, both of Brewton; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 4, at 11 a.m. at Monroe Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy House officiating. Burial followed at Monroe Chapel Cemetery in Frisco City with Monroe Chapel directing.
