Commission passes balanced budget

County commissioners passed a balanced budget Monday - and praised the department heads who prepared it.
Commissioners passed a budget with $7.2 million in revenue and $7.08 million in expenditures, with both revenue and expenditures just slightly up from last year.
Commission Chairman David Stokes called Sanks “a valuable asset to the county.”
Sheriff Grover Smith thanked the county for making sure county employees' insurance costs did not rise.
