Power outage ends
WSN volleyball game
The W.S. Neal Lady Blue Eagles and Jay, Fla. Lady Royals had their volleyball match at East Brewton Monday stopped in the third set by a power outage.
Jay and W.S. Neal divided the first two sets. The Lady Royals won the opener 25-14, while the Lady Blue Eagles won the second set 25-19. The third set was tied at 11-11 at the time of the outage. The match will not be resumed.
Jay won the junior varsity game 27-25, 25-21.
Sydney Andrews led the Lady Blue Eagles in both sets with six points in the opener and seven points in the second set.
W.S. Neal concludes the regular season Thursday with a home match against T.R. Miller. Play gets underway with the junior varsity match at 4 p.m.
No B team football
games for TRM, WSN
Both T.R. Miller and W.S. Neal had their B team football games called off Monday.
T.R. Miller's game at Escambia County was cancelled because Escambia County did not have enough players.
W.S. Neal's game at Andalusia was called off when the officiating crew did not show up.
