Mrs. Patience Falby Jordan, 98, died Wednesday, Oct.18, 2006, at a local nursing facility. She was a native and resident of Century. She was homemaker and a member of Little Escambia Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Jordan Sr.; a son and daughter-in-law, “Bib” and Janie Jordan; a grandson, Greg Jordan and a great-grandson, Adam Jernigan.
She is survived by two sons, Winford “Nub” (Mary) Jordan and Leslie (Doris) Jordan Jr., both of Flomaton; four daughters, Kathleen “Kitty” (Jerry) Whatley of Molino, Fla., Margaret Newton and Linda Black, both of Flomaton and Patricia Ann (Pep) Farrish of Cantonment, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m. at Little Escambia Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Patterson and the Rev. Ralph Morgan officiating. Burial followed at the church cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
