Mrs. Mattie Faye Murphy Grantham, 78, of Mayo Street, East Brewton, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, in a Pensacola, Fla. medical facility after an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Escambia County. She was a member of East Brewton Baptist Church and a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Clarence Steven (Margaret) Grantham and Eric L. (Frankie) Grantham, both of East Brewton; one daughter, Alice (Robert) Rider of East Brewton; a sister, Grace Hoomes of Jay, Fla.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 10:30 a.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Dugan officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
