Mrs. Gladys Elizabeth Snider Harvey, 87, died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006. She was a native of Monroeville and had resided in Brewton for many years. She was an active member of Baptist Hill Church, serving in Sunday school, and many other capacities in the church. She was also supportive of the Second Bethlehem Baptist Church in the Boykin community. She was also active in various civic activities including the position of poll clerk at local elections and helping the sick and elderly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Harvey, all of her brothers and sisters and her great-grandson, Kristopher Sidney Harvey.
She is survived by her son, Rayford (Earnestine) Harvey of Westminster, Calif., two grandchildren Robyn Harvey (Mark) Persaud of Studio City, Calif., and Todd (Veleda) Harvey of Corona, Calif., and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. at Baptist Hill Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. S.C. Tucker officiating. Burial followed at Second Bethlehem Church Cemetery with Presley-Fluker Funeral Home directing.
